About Us

Comflics was founded in Munich in 2011 by Sadiq and Shuaib. They were later joined by Mehran and Ramakrishna, who contribute more varied expertise.

Sadiq Huqa Mechanical Engineer, graduated from Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, Malaysia. He subsequently worked as a Technical Instructor for pilots, at a private airline in India, before moving to Germany in 2009. He studied Computational Mechanics at Technische Universität München (TUM). He is currently working on his PhD at Karlsruher Institut für Technologie (KIT). His research interests include High Performance Computing, Numerical Methods in Fluids, Combustion and Turbulence Modelling with a special focus on Large Eddy Simulation. Lately, he has been making efforts to hike mountains and bike around the country side.

Shuaib Ahmad Idrees is a young professional from Pakistan. He works as a Project Engineer at a Multinational Engineering firm in Munich. He has a background in Mechanical Engineering and a Master's degree in Computational Mechanics from TUM with a specialization in Structural Mechanics. His fields of interests include Nonlinear Dynamic Analysis, Nonlinear Dynamic Structural Optimization, Material Characterizations and Fluid Structure Interactions. He is considered to be an expert in Finite Element Method and Multibody Dynamics. Besides work, he enjoys spending time with his family.

Mehran Saeedi has studied Mechanical Engineering at Isfahan University of Technology, Iran. Later he has done the Computational Mechanics master program at TUM, his master thesis was about stochastic simulation of atmospheric wind applied to aeroelastic simulation of rotating blades. He is currently working as a research assistant in the chair of structural analysis at TUM. His areas of interest include Computational Fluid Dynamics and  Fluid-Structure Interaction. His long term goal is to apply this knowledge to the field of wind energy.

Ramakrishna Nanjundiah is a Computational Mechanics professional who holds a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering from VTU, India and Masters Degree in Computational Mechanics from TUM, Germany. He currently works in an innovative architecture company in Stuttgart. His areas of expertise include Computational Fluid Dynamics, Fluid-Structure Interaction, Numerical Optimization and Thermal Comfort Modeling. His areas of interest include OpenSource community and Cloud Computing. In his free time he finds himself doing yoga and meditation.
